Welcome to Harvest House Online. Since June 1997 Harvest House
staff and volunteers have opened its doors to anyone coming in and
looking for help. We opened initially as a community drop in centre
and right from the beginning people began coming in looking for
help and guidance.
Many had very little or no family support. Many had burned their
bridges. Many arrived desperate, some looking for food, some
needing shelter, some just needed friends and a supportive
community.
We began renting houses, apartment units for men, women ,families
and single parents who needed some time to rebuild their lives and
get reestablished in the community. In Feb. 2005 we built a 16 room
addiction recovery house for men (a 6 - 9 month program) and now
are continuing to expand and create more rooms and develop a
stronger addiction recovery program to help men needing to overcome
their addictions. We will open a women's recovery program when we
we are able.
Volunteers from local churches, business people, students, and
people of compassion began offering their time and resourses to
help people in need.
Our desire is to provide a place of service as "A Connecting Point"
where people of compassion who want to make a difference could come
and help people in need. As we learn to give and help provide for
the needs of others we soon realize that everyone benefits! Giving
to others gives us meaning and purpose and the ones receiving help
begin to feel loved and valued. We are seeing many begin to find
"Hope" for the future and a place where they are discovering new
family and friends to help along life's journey. Come and learn the
joy of giving and receiving. There are many ways you can help.
Please continue your tour of Harvest House Online. Come and get
involved and experience being blessed as you bless others. Please
feel free to call our office and have Michelle arrange for a
personal or group tour and see first hand the services provided and
meet our wonderful staff and volunteers and guests. May God's
richest blessings be upon you.
Sincerely, Cal maskery, Founder/ Executive Director
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was
thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and
you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick
and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you
hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?
When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing
clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and
go to visit you? "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth,
whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine,
you did for me." Mathew 25:35-40

All of us at Harvest House hope that your visit
will be an encouraging and informative one. Since our beginning in
1997 we have seen God perform miraculous things. He has transformed
lives and provided the necessary finances to accomplish the
impossible through obedient children for who we are most thankful.
We look forward to experiencing more wonderful and greater
encounters with the Lord as together we work to change our
communities to the glory of God. Thank you for your interest and
thank you to all those who have helped Harvest House reach out to
those in need.
